Another Look At Water Colouring With Distress Ink, Changing Your Sub Straights...….. What Happens ?

Good Morning / Afternoon or Maybe Evening. Welcome A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog on using your Distress Inks to water colour with, and how easy the result were. I fell in love with the technique and have many more examples planned. I decided to change my water paper as Bristol (Strathmore) can work out expensive and many of you including me have far more standard water colour paper. I didn't expect any real difference, but I was very wrong! Here's both card projects. The top is on standard water colour paper smooth side and the bottom Bristol Smooth. When working on...

Tropical pops of colour - Altenew stamps, stencils & dies!

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. Written and photos Tropical pops of colour :  These cards use the Scalloped Ornaments stamp, stencil and die set. Stamp...

I have had it in my stash for a while, but I hadn't gotten around to use it. But it inspired me for todays card by masking a background for a 1 layer card. I'm not one for making 1 layer cards, and yes technically the heat embossed sentiment on this card is popped up on a little bit of foam, but otherwise the...

Watercolouring in cohesive colours - Altenew Watercolour colouring book & Brushes!

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team.  Today I was able to create a lovely big card (5x7") using one of the stunning florals in the Altenew Watercolour colouring book. This watercolour colouring book has so many beautiful florals to colour, whether you turn them in to a card or just use them to practice. I took the Polychromatic cardmaking class at the Altenew academy and it inspired this card today.  Written and photos Watercolouring in cohesive colours: Start off by laying a flat colour wash of a pale pink/red onto a petal on...
