Layered Dahlia stencils with Distress Oxides

Layered Dahlia stencils with Distress Oxides

Hello, I don't use stencils a lot but I couldn't wait to try out the new Layered Dahlia stencils from Altenew. They are sold separately and can be used separately but together the work amazing. I also wanted to try out my favourite colour of Distress Ink in an Oxide Picked Raspberry, I just love pink, and see how it looked on different coloured cardstock. I did exactly the same thing on all 3 cards, but they look so different. I cut a piece of card stock in white, black and kraft to 10cm x 15cm, although I did end up cutting them...

Awesome looks good on you

Awesome looks good on you

Today I have a nice bright and cheery card for you using Distress inks with the My Favourite Things Stencil Radiating Rays and the Awesome stamp set from Neat and Tangled    I took a piece of  Neenah Solar White Card Stock and used masking tape to tape my stencil over the top. I wanted a nice bright rainbow colour so I used distress inks in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed. Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet and used a  Mini Ink Blending Tool to add the colour over the stencil. I used the large Awesome sentiment from the stamp set and stamped it...

Live life in full bloom

Live life in full bloom

Hello wonderful crafty people. Today I have 2 cards from one stamped image. I love it when you get more than one card from a design.  I started out by stamping the My Favorite Things Floral Fantasy background stamp in Versamark Ink on to Bristol Smooth card using my Misti to make sure I got a good impression. I then heat embossed using WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder. I coloured the image in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers in various colours and a water brush.  Once the entire image was coloured in I trimmed it down to...

You Are A-maze-ing

You Are A-maze-ing

Hello crafty people, It's been a few weeks since I've posted a blog post for you so today I've got an A-maze-ing interactive card for you. Using the My Favorite Things Die-namics Circle Shaker Window & Frame I used the frame die to cut out a frame and circle from purple card, the card I used is double sided with one side being a lighter shade than the other. I used this to my advantage and used the lighter coloured circle for my maze background. I worked out where I wanted my maze to go and stuck down the light...

You're So Sweet

You're So Sweet

Another Quick summery card today using Avery Elle Cool Treats Clear Stamp Set I stamped the little ice lolly repeatedly on a piece of neenah card stock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink as well as the sentiment "You're so sweet" and added little smiley faces to them all. I coloured them all in using Copic markers in Orange, red and yellow with brown for the sticks. To add a extra bit of colour, I outlined each image with a light teal colour which really made them pop. I trimmed down the sides slightly and colour 2 strips of card in the same...
