 Welcome Crafty Friends,

Some time in crafting we stubble along terms, we don't know or never heard about. One of these terms is Single, Double and Triple stamping or some times referred to as First, Second and Third generation stamping. Let me explain when you ink your stamp and stamp it this is First Generation or Single stamping.

Then if you stamp again with out adding more ink to the stamp, this is 2nd Generation or Double Stamping. The image is a lot lighter as there's less ink on your stamp.

Lastly if you repeat again not adding more ink this is known as Third Generation or Triple. you could go on but each time there's less ink.

Today I've used first, second and third or one, Single, or Double and Triple.

I do hope this makes sense. Look at the shades of the rain drops. They are lighter and darker and are the same ink only some we firsts, Second or Third Generation.

Firstly stamp out your raindrops in Dove ink, using the single, double and triple method. Leave an area that will be under your umbrella. do this on the neenah cardstock or similar.

Next in stardust ink stamp out were you want the handle of the umbrella.

Stamp out your umbrella top, on another piece of cardstock, in oceanside ink. Then when dry die cut it or fussy cut it out.

Slightly curl your umbrella, before you add double sided mounting tape. this adds dimension.

Line it up on the handle on the Neenah cardstock.

Finally add your sentiment stamped in midnight ink.
