Die-cutting foiled panels to create fun cards | PinkFresh

 

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. Hot foiling is such a great way to create impact quickly and make your cards stand out. But why not step it up a notch? Today, we're die-cutting foiled panels to create fun cards which just needs a simple sentiment to finish them off as the background brings all the drama! I'm using the beautiful Peony Print Hot Foil plate

Start off heating up the Peony Print Hot Foil plate on your Glimmer Hot Foil Machine. Once the time is solid, place a piece of Gold Matte Hot Foil Glimmer roll over the top along with a card panel cut from Azalea Hero Hues cardstock and run this through your die-cutting machine.

 Peel the foil back to reveal the beautiful design. Don't discard the left over foil, use the PinkFresh Solid Hot Foil plate to foil this negative foil sheet onto another piece of Azalea Hero Hues cardstock. To turn this into a card, use a rectangle die to cut out the same position on each panel. 

For the first card, trim down the pink panel down and add this border to a card base and then foam mount the gold die-cut panel into the middle. The card was finished with a sentiment stamped in Twilight ink from the Celebrating You stamp set and cut out with the coordinating dies. Add a circle die-cut from the Mini Slimline Essential die and then embellish with gold sequin discs.

For the second card, use the reverse pieces of the previous card foam mounting the middle panel. Again this card using a die-cut from the Mini Slimline Essential die set to add to the front of the panel. 

This sentiment uses the Bold Sentiments hot foil plate set with Aura Hot Foil Glimmer Roll, and cut using the coordinating die from the hot foil set. Lastly, this card was again finished with gold sequin discs.

For the next two cards, I used the same Peony Prints Hot Foil plate but switched up the colour for a completely different look! This set of cards instead uses Rainbow Hot Foil Glimmer roll and it is stunning! Simple and creates a big impact!

This was foiled onto Glimmer Speciality cardstock from Spellbinders and again the negative foil sheet was also foiled using the PinkFresh Solid Hot Foil Plate. Using a square die, die-cut a shape out each panel in the same position. Again as before, adhere the outer panel directly onto a cardbase and foam mount the inner square piece. This card was finished with a heat embossed sentiment from Celebrating You stamp set and rainbow sequin discs.
