Modern Christmas with a nod to tradition - Spellbinders Holiday Blooms dies

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. I'm back after a long break but with I've got a beautiful modern Christmas card that will wow! Many companies are coming out with a range of Christmas dies, stamps and hot foil plates for all styles of Christmas cards. I do love a modern style card, but with a nod to tradition, so I'm pairing Spellbinders Christmas dies and hot foil plates with traditional Christmas colours for a nod to the traditional. So let's get started!

Start off by hot foiling the Crossed Lines Cardfront Glimmer hot foil plate onto Glimmer Speciality cardstock in Matte Gold Glimmer Hot Foil. Trim this panel down and add to a white card base. 

Next, die-cut the poinsettia from the Spellbinders Holiday Blooms die set out of Cherry red cardstock along with the small berries in the set. In addition, colour some white card with direct to paper method using the Deck the Halls ink pad. Next, cut some of the foliage out of this from the  Spellbinders Holiday Blooms die set.

Start layering the holiday blooms die-cuts around the foiled panel, creating a point of interest triangle around the frame. In addition, add a few gold mirror elements using the holiday blooms die set to embellish the middle of the poinsettia and small floral elements. 

To create the sentiment, add some double sided adhesive sheets to the back of a piece of Mirror Gold cardstock and die-cut using the Stylish Merry Christmas die. In addition, die-cut this out of white card three times and layer up for dimension. 

Finish the card off by adding the sentiment to the front of the card.
