Sending big hugs (and flowers!)

Altenew CAS Distress Oxides floral vine flowers hugs MFT painted prints Sequins

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. I hope your new year is off to a good start. The stamp set I'm using today has been in my possession for a few months but I have only just used it. I have gotten the stamp set out several times and my craft mojo was lacking and have never made anything with it. But I had some crafty success on Saturday and I love how it turned out, as though I am sending some a bunch of flowers in the post to go with the hug! When I tried using this stamp set before, I kept trying to make a one layer card, which for some will work perfectly fine. However, it just didn't suit my style, and I knew I need to add some dimension by layering the florals up. Then my creativity was sparked.

Sending big hugs (and flowers!) details:

To start, stamp a variety of the florals on to Neenah 80lb solar white card, layered the stamps up accordingly. MFT have added a line around each group of flowers so you know which layers go with which.
I used a stamp positioner to stamp the florals; one to get good coverage of colour and if it was splotchy I could stamp it again. Two, it speeds up stamping a flower several times, as you can rotate your cardstock 180 degrees and stamp again.
Next I fussy cut the flowers and leaves out. MFT does have a coordinating die set for this stamp set, I just haven't got it.
For the background, I use a blending tool to add tumbled glass and Broken China to a white card panel which was trimmed down to 5.25" x 4". As I was going to position the florals over this, I didn't mind about a small rough spot of ink when applying the ink to the card.
Using foam and glue, I adhered the florals and leaves to the card panel, trying to mimic the shape of a bunch of flowers.
The card panel was adhered to a 5.5" x 4.25" card base made from Neenah 100lb Solar white cardstock. The sentiment from Altenew Floral VIne was stamped in black on a white strip of card and foam mounted onto the card. Lastly, a selection of sequins was scattered around the card and adhered down with multi medium matte. I use the ranger precision tip on my multi medium matte forapplication off aa small amount of adhesive.
