You're Dino-mite and Make a Wish cards for 4 year olds

Hey guy's, so my son is at Kindergarten and there seems to be a birthday every week at the moment. So I thought I'd better make some birthday cards for 4 year old's.

While both cards are clearly different, the process was exactly the same for each.

All stocked products will be listed at the end of this blog.

I started by using my Misti to stamp the dinosaur, palm tree and baby dino from Lawn Fawn's Critters from the past stamp set and the frog, unicorn and castle images from Lawn Fawns Critters Ever After stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut to 10.5cm x 14.8cm (an A4 piece cut into quarters). I then stamped the number 4 balloon from Avery Elle's Numbered Balloon's Stamp Set, using Memento Grape Jelly.

I made some masks by stamping the same images onto full stick post-it notes and cutting them out using my x-cut precision scissors. I stuck these over the images on the cardstock to protect them for the next step.

Using a mini ink blending tool to add distress inks in Tea Dye, Twisted Citron, Broken China and Mermaid Lagoon for the Dinosaur card and Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Broken China and Mermaid Lagoon for the unicorn card. I made the colourful backgrounds.

I used my Copic markers to colour in the images but you could use which every medium you like using.

After all the images where coloured, I used a black pen to draw in the rope for the balloon and to outline the balloon itself.

I took a scrap of Neenah Solar White Cardstock and used Twisted Citron and Wilted Violet distress ink and rubbed the ink pad directly onto the cardstock to make a piece of coloured card that matched in with the colour scheme I had used. Using sentiments from each of the stamp sets, I used versamark ink to stamp them and heat embossed using Wow! Opaque Bright White embossing powder and a heat gun.

I used my Fiskars paper trimmer to to trim each piece down, cut a fishtail in the end of each one and attached to the card using foam tape.

I finished by adding Spectrum Noir clear shimmer pen to the sentiment strip, frog's crown, castle roof and unicorn's mane, tail and hooves. I then fixed to the front of an A6 white card blank.
