 Hello and Welcome

If like me you enjoy colouring as you find it relaxing, but struggle with blends and highlights. I recommend starting with a good set of coloured pencils. Today I'm using Faber Castell these are a wax pencil. The other tool I recommend is a blending stick which can be picked up cheap enough. These are shaped like pencil and are made of a very tight roll of paper. Gamsol is the other thing to get amazing results with little to no effort. To bring my work to life I also use fine liners.

Method
Stamp your image on to white card stock in versa Clair ink or similar ink.
Then stamp the image again on masking paper and line it up over your image.

Then with a blending tool add yellow first then orange to create a glow from a firer.

Next Peel off the masking paper. This will reveal a clean image to work with.

Add your pencil to which part is going to be your darkest area.

Using a stump and Gamsol, dip the stump in to the Gamsol until it is quiet damp. the in little circular motions tease the colour pencil layer down and drag it out to blend that area.
This  gives a lovely look  to your pencil work.

Do the same with the other colours. I do all the same tones together so to not mess up the colour on my blending stump.

Match a fine liner to the colour you used to blend, and fill in any gaps left by the masking process.

Using the same fine liner and in this case one in Red, Orange, Yellow and White gently add many dots of colour.

This creates a pop of colour giving a dramatic finish to your work.

Layer you finished work with black cardstock. Add mounting foam to the back and attach to a 6" x 6" Card Blank.
Finally stamp on your greeting add your gems and add sparkle pen.
Happy Paper Crafting
