Hey lovelies! Happy Easter!
This week I'm sharing a simple friendship card, I love the "Mix Tape" stamp set from Concord & 9th, it's perfect for any music lover!
I cut a panel from white card stock using the second largest of Mama Elephant's "Basic Rectangles" Creative Cuts and secured it in my Misti stamping platform using the magnets. I stamped the layer that is used to colour within the lines of the Mix Tape stamps to stamp my pattern in Iced Spruce and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. When I had finished stamping my pattern I stamped my sentiment using Gina K's Amalgam Jet Black ink and cut my sentiment strip down to size. I adhered my sentiment to the bottom right of my panel using 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape.
I used the largest of the "Basic Rectangles" Creative Cuts to cut a black panel to frame my patterned panel.
I adhered my panels together using 1/2" Scor-Tape.
It was at this point I felt like it looked too clean and simple for my liking, so I masked off any areas I didn't want to get splatter on with some Post-It Tape. I used Broken China and Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink to splatter my panel. Once the ink splatters were dry I adhered my panel to my card base using Scor-Tape and added some Ebony Black Nuvo Drops for embellishment.
Thanks for reading lovelies! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend!
Claire
