Simple Card Using Heffy Doodle's "You're Weird" Stamp Set!

Hey lovelies!
This week I'm sharing a simple appreciation card using Heffy Doodle's "You're Weird" stamp set! I've always been obsessed with the moon and the opportunity to line up the stamps to make a full moon with this set drew me in!
I used my Misti to stamp the first half of the moon with Gina K Amalgam Jet Black ink, cleaned off my stamp and lined it up so that the edges met and stamped the other half. I shaded my moon with a regular drawing pencil and set it with a little hairspray to stop it from smudging. I added some white highlights with a gel pen before fussy cutting it out. I used my Misti again to stamp my sentiment using the same ink as before.
I cut a panel from white card stock using the second largest die from Mama Elephant's "Basic Rectangles" Creative Cuts and blended Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink over it. I spread some blue metallic watercolour paint over my glass crafting mat and sprayed it with some water to allow more movement. I placed my panel down on to the watercolour paint and dried between each layer until I was happy with how it looked. I splattered some white metallic watercolour paint over the top to give the illusion of stars.
Here is a close up of how the panel looks when the light hits the metallic paint. I set the panel aside to dry.
I cut a panel from black card stock this time using the largest of Mama Elephant's "Basic Rectangles" Creative Cuts. I doubled up some 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape to pop my moon up on my galaxy panel and adhered my panels together and to my card base using Scor-Tape.
Thanks for reading lovelies! I'll see you next week with another card.
Claire
