Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. It's rare for me to make a purely die-cut card or one with not much stamping, but today I've got 5 for you! These rainbow die-cut leaf cards were created with the Altenew Parlor Palm die set and I hope this shows you that you don't always have to use the die in its main form.  Of course, I did create one card using the die in the way it was intended, and I love that one just as much as the others!

Written and photos Rainbow die-cut leaf cards:

Now to start off, I  die-cut the palm fronds from the Altenew Parlor Palm die set out of a variety of rainbow coloured cardstock from Lawn Fawn and Hero Arts. I did this whilst I sat watching something on Amazon Prime and I didn't notice the time pass. As a result, I ended up with a lot of die cuts. So, I made 5 cards from them but still had lots of leftovers.
For this first card, I stuck the palm fronds down to a white card base made out of Neenah Classic Crest Solar white110lb in rainbow order. I alternated the length of the fronds on the base to add variety to the background.  Once these were all stuck down with Gina K connect glue, I then die cut a stitched rectangle out of 80lb card stock and foam mounted this over the top.
For the sentiment, I die-cut the Altenew Happy sentiment from the Script Words 2 set and die cut this out of Lawn Fawn Fog cardstock and 2 fro white, layering these up. This was then foam mounted onto the front of the panel with 3D foam pads. Lastly, a heat embossed birthday sentiment was added to the front of the card and a few clear crystal gems were added to embellish the card.
For this second card, die-cut a circle out of Lawn Fawn card stock and foam mount onto a 110lb card base, offset to one side. Trim down the circle to match the edge of the card base.
Next, using Gina K Connect glue, adhere a selection of fronts around the edge of the circle to create a wreath. I use a selection of yellow, orange and red for an ombre look. For the sentiment, add a layered Birch Press Designs Sugar Script 'Thank's out of white to the front of the card, and add a co-ordinating heat embossed sentiment from the Altenew sentiment strips set. Lastly, add a few more clear crystal gems to finish the card off.
This card uses the Altenew Parlor Palm die set in the way it was intended. First of all, die-cut the pot out of Lawn Fawn Fog cardstock and foam mount on to a 110lb card base. Next, add fronds coming out of the pot in an ombre colour scheme. Make sure you fan the fronds out to a create a symmetrical appearance.
For the sentiment, heat emboss 'Hope you feel better soon' in WOW! Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder onto black card and trim down into a thin strip. Next, foam mount this onto the card over the plant pot. Again, finish the card off with a few clear crystal gems.
For this card, die-cut a stitched circle from Lawn Fawn Fog cardstock and foam mount onto a white 80lb card panel. Adhere a variety of green fronds beneath the circle fanning out around. Trim the whole panel down to 5.25 x 4" and adhere to a 110lb card base.
Die-cut the Birch Press Big Hello Sugar Scrip die out of white layering this up. I' haven't die cut the shadow, but you can if you prefer. Adhere this to the front of the circle and add another gold heat embossed sentiment from the Altenew sentiment strips stamp set. Once more, the card was finished with clear crystal gems.
The last card was created by foam mounted a stitched rectangle cut out of Lawn Fawn Cardstock onto a 110lb card base. A selection of purple and pink fronds were adhered horizontally across the stitched rectangle, allowing them to hand of the edge.
This card was finished with a simple heat embossed sentiment strip from the Altenew Sentiment strips stamp set.
