Quick Mother's Day Rainbow Card

Die cutting heat embossing Lawn Fawn Lawn Fawn Cuts Mother's day Mother's day line die multi medium matter Nuvo drops precision tip Rainbow rainbow cardstock

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team.  As you all know, Mother's day is just around the corner...well for the weekend! So if you haven't made your card yet I have some rainbow inspiration for your today that would brighten any Mother's day up. I'm not usually a rainbow person, well I don't usually use it on my cads. However, I'm challenging myself to go more out of my comfort zone and I'm so glad I did. I love the bright colour nature of this card, yet it was so easy to make. You could easily adapt this to any occasion using many of the Lawn Fawn word line dies, so why not go to town with it

Quick Mother's Day Rainbow Card photos and written step-by-step:

Start off, you will need a rainbow assortment of colour cardstock. I kept it so simple and used the Rainbow Lawn Fawn cardstock pack - takes the guesswork out of it for you!

Next, trim strips of each colour down - no need to send the whole sheet through your machine, and position the Mother's Day line die on top of the cardstock. Run this through your machine to die cut the phrase.

Repeat this for each colour of the rainbow. Make sure you push out any of the negatives within the letters. Trim and fold a piece of white cardstock to form your cardbase.
To adhere the sentiments down, the Ranger Ink Precision tip works well with Multi-medium matte adhesive, allowing you to apply a small amount of glue to intricate dies like this. Start from the top or the bottom to ensure your space out the sentiments appropriately.
Add a heat embossed sentiment to the front of the card using the Scrapbook Adhesive foam pads for added dimension. This sentiment comes from the Altenew Floral Vine set.
Lastly, embellishment with a rainbow of colours - I used Tonic Nuvo drops here but you could use sequins, enamel dots, jewels etc. The choice is endless!
If you enjoyed today's card, please let us know and we would love to see your cards if this has inspired you.
