Quick and Easy Floral Wreath

Altenew Altenew dies altenew stencils edible eggplant fantasy floral die Gina K Gina K Cardstock plum punch Sentiment Strips Soft stone wonderful wreath stencil

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. A floral wreath card always looks stunning and elegant. What's more, you can pair it with a whole host of occasions and sentiments. But, it doesn't have to be time-consuming. Today I'm showing you how you can make quick and easy floral wreath cards without breaking a sweat!

Written and photos Quick and Easy Floral Wreath:

Start off by applying the Altenew Wonderful Wreath stencil onto a piece of white card, trimmed to the same size as the stencil.  Using a light green ink, add colour through the stencil with blending brushes.
Next, rotate the stencil slightly so that the leaves are overlapping slightly but not completely covering the layer of leaves you have just blended on. Repeat blending darker shades of green colour onto the wreath for 2 more layers.
To create the 3D floral element, use the Altenew Fantasy Floral 3D die to cut the flower out of Edible Eggplant, Plum Punch and Soft Stone Card stock from Gina K Designs. Next, adhere the three layers of the card together with Gink K connect glue.
To create the leaves, die cut the leaves out of matching colour cardstock. If you don't have matching coloured cardstock, you can create your own by taking you ink pad directly to white card and swiping it over the surface to get an even coverage.
Before adhering the floral element onto the card, splatter some pearlescent dark pewter spray onto the background and allow this to dry. When the panel is dry, foam mount this onto a white card base.
To add the flower and leaves, use 3D foam squares to foam mount the items onto the front to add dimension. For the sentiment, heat emboss in gold a sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips stamp set onot black card and adhere onto the front with Gina K Connect glue.
Lastly, add a selection of sequins to finish the card off.
If you enjoyed today's card, please let us know and we would love to see your cards if this has inspired you.
