Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. Catherine Pooler Designs Celebrate Spring is in the shop and is a perfect collection for creating fresh floral and Easter inspired cards. Today, I'm combining faux watercolouring with pattern paper for a beautiful thank you card. Switch up the colours and sentiment and you an use this design for lots of cards ready to send out! The roses in the Fresh Picked Florals stamp set are a lovely size to colour - not too large or small so for those that just like to dabble in colouring now and then, these are the perfect size for you!

Written and photos Combining faux water colouring with pattern paper:

First, heat emboss the roses and leaves from the Fresh Picked Florals stamp set in gold embossing powder. With a your dye ink pads, start to watercolour these in.
The easiest way to do this is to smoosh your ink pad lid down into the ink pad to pick up a small amount of ink in the inside of the lid. This creates a palette to colour from. Use water to draw the colour out to create depth and dimension.
After the colour is complete, use the coordinating dies to cut out the images. For the background, trim a white card panel down to foam mount onto a white card base. Trim a piece of paper from the Happy Mamma Pattern Paper pack and add to the front.
Before adding the florals, add a strip of paper coloured with direct to paper method with Black Jack ink - this will help ground the florals. Lastly, add a small sentiment and embellish with sequins from the Helsinki Sequin Mix.
