Clean and simple festive cards

Hello there, it is Verity here from Pretty Little Button for the Bumbleberry Design team. I have a couple of clean and simple festive cards using a classic Christmas colour combo of red and white. The white really makes this beautiful red cardstock from Gina K designs really pop and of course, gives a nod to Father Christmas!

To start off, adhere the MFT Pine Tree Forest stencil down over a piece of Cherry Red Gina K cardstock. Using a spatula, add a small amount of Altenew embossing paste to your glass mat and mix in a few drops of PinkFresh Studios Candy Apple watercolour liquid.

Keep adding colour in until you are happy with the shade. You may also wish to mix in some glitter for added sparkle. Using the spatula, paste this over the stencil making sure you get good coverage. Repeat this on another piece of red cardstock and leave both panels to dry.

Next, work on the sentiments by die cutting the word 'Ho' 9 times from white cardstock using the Altenew Fine Alphabet die set. Adhere the letters together with Gina K connect glue until you have 3 layered 'Ho, Ho, Ho'. In addition, stamp and emboss onto a piece of vellum 'Season's Greetings' from the Altenew Happy Holiday stamp set.

Once the panels are dry, foam mount one panel onto a white card base. With the second panel, die-cut a stitched circle and foam mount onto a white panel. In addition, foam mount this onto a red card base.

Next, adhere the sentiments onto each card. Try to hide the adhesive behind the embossing and also add a few sequins on top to hide the glue.

Add a selection of silver sequins around the sentiment and the cards to finish them off.
