Hey lovelies!
This week I'm sharing a shaker card I made for a friend's birthday using the Avery Elle "Phonomenal" stamp set! We all know how much I love food stamps by now so these were a must have for me!
I stamped my images using Gina K's Amalgam Jet Black ink and coloured them with my alcohol markers. I used a white gel pen to add details and highlights before fussy cutting them all out. I used a craft knife to cut slits between the noodles so I could tuck my ingredients in to place and adhered them using Scor-Tape.
I cut two panels from white card stock using the Mama Elephant "Basic Rectangles" Creative Cuts, in the smaller panel I cut the slots out using one of the dies from Avery Elle's "Focal Point Stripes" Elle-ments. I took the larger of the panels and a piece of white card stock I cut big enough to cover the back of my window, I blended them both with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I distressed these panels with my distress sprayer and cleaned up the excess water.
I adhered acetate to the back of my window area with Scor-Tape and used 3M Scotch Double Sided Foam Tape to frame the window to keep the sequins in place. I dusted the inside of the window including the edges of the foam tape with my powder tool applicator to allow the sequins to move around more freely without getting stuck. I chose some iridescent sequins and hearts to fill my shaker and adhered the panel I prepared earlier to trap them inside.
I secured a strip of white card stock in my Misti stamping tool and stamped my sentiment using Gina K's Amalgam Jet Black ink and trimmed it in to a banner shape.
I adhered my panels together using Scor-Tape, also adhering my images flat to my window panel with it. I popped up my sentiment across the bowl using foam tape before adhering everything to my card base with Scor-Tape.
Thanks for reading lovelies! I won't be here next week with another card as I'll be spending time travelling around Scotland to gigs and spending time with my family, but I'll be back again on May 12th! See you then!
Claire
